Jamae (also referred to as “us,” “we,” or “our”) operates https://www.jamae.io (the “Site” or “Service”). By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information according to this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use this site.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately after the update has been made live on the Site. What Information Do We Collect and How?

On our Site, we collect the following information:

  • Personal Information (such as your name and email address) you provide through forms, such as subscribing to our newsletter, signing up for Coaching, taking a Hint of Jam online course, participating in surveys shared through our Site and / or newsletter, sending a message via the Contact Form, and other related Services
  • Payment Information (including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and demographic information) you provide when purchasing a book, signing up for a course, requesting a coaching call, or other related Services
  • Activity and transactions made through partner companies for email marketing and payment processing (including MailChimp, BookShop, G Suite, PayPal, Teachers Pay Teachers, Teachable). Payment information is collected and used based on BookShop’s, PayPal’s, Teachers Pay Teachers’s, and Teachable’s privacy policies. Jamae does not store your payment information.
  • Information on how you use the Site and interact with http://jamae.me (such as your IP address, the device you use, browser type and version, the pages you visit on our Site, duration of visit, clicked links). We use Google Analytics and MailChimp to collect this data
  • Communications sent to us, like emails, discussions, replies to newsletters, or problem reports

While using our Site, we may collect other Personal Information you may provide so we can contact or identify you. We will ensure the information we collect has a valid legal basis for doing so. Information that is given to us will be kept confidential unless disclosure is required by law (See “Compliance with Law” below).

You may decline providing us with Personal Information and ask for your information to be removed. However, this will prevent access to our Services, such as receiving our email newsletter or maintaining a client account. You can review and update your information at any time.

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from Children under the age of 13 (“Children”). We will immediately delete any information on the server we discover was provided by a Children under 13.

Jamae processes personal data to carry out Site and Service operations in accordance to the contract between us and you. Some of this information is necessary, such as for creating a client account or subscribing to our newsletter.

  • Third Parties: We may disclose information to companies we work with in order to perform Service operations, including email marketing, payment processing, and customer service.

We process Personal Information and other non-identifiable data to run our Site and Services based on the contract between us and you. We do so to pursue our legitimate interests in compliance with applicable legislation.

If you engage in our giveaways, workshops, and other publicly hosted events, we may share your first or chosen name and / or social media handles when appropriate through our Site and / or newsletter as a way of congratulations or recognition. We will not publicly share your email address, IP address, mailing address, payment information, private profile information, or communications.

We retain Personal Information only as long as needed to continue providing our Services, to conduct our business, and to comply with legal obligations. We may need to retain your information to maintain your client account and / or to send you our newsletter, unless you request we delete your information. By choosing to use our Services, you agree to our Terms & Conditions, a contract between Jamae and its users.

Jamae is a US-based Site, so your information will be processed through servers located in the United States. We operate under US laws governing data protection and government access. The laws protecting your Personal Information may be different in your country.
